  • Charles Oakley called out Isiah Thomas for not getting over being snubbed from the 1992 Dream Team
  • Charles Oakley said Michael Jordan, Chuck Daly, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson didn’t want Isiah Thomas on the team
  • He also called out Karl Malone after an interview where Malone and Isiah ‘cried together’

Charles Oakley is never afraid to speak his mind and he has directed one of his latest tirades at Isiah Thomas and Karl Malone. Speaking in an interview, Oakley brought up Isiah’s snub from the 1992 Dream Team and an interview he did with Malone.

“Ever since the Dream Team, something happened to him,” Oakley said on Michael Cooper’s podcast. “I don’t know what happened.

“Jordan told him he couldn’t play. [Larry] Bird told him he couldn’t play. Your own coach don’t want you. Chuck Daly. Your best friend Magic [Johnson] don’t want you. Then you blame Michael Jordan. You blame all the other guys.

“Now him and Karl Malone doing a sit-down interview crying together. Karl Malone, you should never do a sit-down interview, man, because of what you have done in your life to other people.”

Charles Oakley has famously never gotten along with Isiah Thomas, calling him out on multiple occasions over his comments about Michael Jordan. This take isn’t surprising coming from him, the two famously do not see eye to eye.

With the Karl Malone stuff, Oakley may have a bit more of a point. Karl Malone has a checkered past when it comes to his personal life, including disrespecting Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa, so his going at Malone does make more sense.

Isiah Thomas Has Fired Back At Charles Oakley In The Past

Charles Oakley has said controversial and provocative things about a lot of players from the 80s and 90s, including Charles Barkley. Isiah Thomas isn’t having it though, he has made his feelings about Oakley clear in the past.

“I remember us kicking your a** a lot, someone please check my record vs. any team he played on! Sit down be Humble,” Thomas quote-tweeted a video of Oakley calling him out.

It seems like neither Charles Oakley nor Isiah Thomas will back down from saying things about one another. But the Dream Team snub will never change, no matter how Thomas feels about it and neither will Oakley’s personality.
