• Carmelo Anthony and his son Kiyan were seen sweating it out in practice.
• Kiyan is one of the players slated to appear in Overtime’s latest docuseries ‘The Evolution’
• The former NBA star’s son is highly regarded as a rising phenom
Carmelo Anthony may have called time on his decorated career in the NBA, but now he has sights set on ensuring that his son Kiyan can chart a similar, and perhaps more successful path in the league.
Both father and son were seen practicing and NBA fans couldn’t have enough of the two getting some serious work in.
Here are some of the reactions:
“He’s so proud of him, You could see it in his eyes.”
“Melo’s coaching career starts from now on.”
“Kiyan is about to be a legend. Melo low key a goat coach. Mark my words.”
“Excited for the show,”
“Bro got that fire in his eyes.”
“He plays just like I want my sons to play once they get of age!”
The clip of the two made the rounds on social media ahead of Kiyan’s appearance on Overtime’s new six-part docuseries titled ‘The Evolution’. At the time of writing, he plays for Long Island Lutheran High School in New York and for his father’s Team Melo EYBL (AAU equivalent) side.
Kiyan Anthony Calls Paul George As His GOAT
It’s not just NBA rookie Brandon Miller who picked Paul George as his GOAT. In an earlier interview, Kiyan Anthony called the LA Clippers’ guard his GOAT as well.
The young phenom also named George, Kobe Bryant, and his father Carmelo Anthony as the three best players in NBA history. Clearly, he thinks George is the best in the business, and his incredibly versatile game is something he admires to a great degree. George is a player who many young players have acknowledged for inspiring their own playing styles.
Maybe we can see Kiyan attempt to build the same versatility as his role model. The blueprint is out there. This will be an interesting wait.
