Saudi Arabian soccer side Al Hilal recently made headlines after submitting an official bid worth $332 million to Paris Saint-Germain for Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old French superstar will reportedly earn $776 million for one year if he accepts the deal. Well, to put things into perspective, it’s more than LeBron James’ entire career earnings of $531 million (including the amount he is guaranteed by the Lakers).

Now, that’s some insane offer for Mbappe. LeBron will be making $47.6 million for the 2023-24 NBA season. If Mbappe joins Al Hilal, he’ll make $64.6 million in a month. Yes, we’re not kidding.

As of now, there is no update on whether Mbappe will put his signature on the dotted line or not. But if he does, he’ll have a chance to earn more than the 15 highest-paid NBA players for the next season combined.

LeBron James, Draymond Green, And Giannis Antetokounmpo React To Kylian Mbappe’s Insane Contract Offer

There’s no doubt that soccer players earn enormous amounts of money. Moreover, with Saudi Arabia’s newfound interest in the sport, the number keeps rising.

Upon hearing the potential offer for Mbappe, several NBA stars couldn’t stop themselves from reacting to it on Twitter. LeBron James posted a gif of his reaction.

“Me headed to Saudi when they call Rich Paul and Maverick Carter for that 1-year deal!”

On the other hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo joked about looking similar to Kylian Mbappe.

“Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe.”

Draymond Green went as far as saying he would leave the Warriors to play in Saudi Arabia for that kind of money.

“They got basketball leagues too right? I don’t [think] the ink on my contract has dried up yet.”

It’s safe to say Kylian Mbappe’s contract offer from Al Hilal shocked the NBA superstars to their core. They are ready to leave the NBA and play in Saudi Arabia, albeit jokingly.

Maybe in the future, Saudi Arabia will develop an interest in basketball as well. But for now, they are focused on bringing the best soccer stars from around the globe to the country.
