There is no doubt that point guard Stephen Curry is one of the most accomplished players in the game today, having won two MVP awards and four championships. Many consider him one of the ten best players of all time, and his legacy is set in stone.

Many great players did not manage to win championships like Stephen Curry, even though they were extremely talented. Recently, Stephen Curry was asked about which players he’d give his championship rings to if he could. He picked Steve Nash and Reggie Miller.

“Great question… It would not be Charles Barkley… I would pick Steve Nash and Reggie Miller.”

It is easy to see why Stephen Curry picked those two players specifically to potentially give rings to. Both Steve Nash and Reggie Miller were elite shooters, and Curry is an elite shooter himself. Both were also elite performers in the playoffs, but unfortunately never had the luck to win at the highest level, though Miller did make the NBA Finals with the Indiana Pacers.

Reggie Miller Was Stephen Curry’s Favorite Player Growing Up

Previously, we saw Stephen Curry claim that his favorite player growing up was Reggie Miller. He noted that he loved Miller’s movement and penchant for big shots, and perhaps that is part of why Stephen Curry picked Reggie Miller to hypothetically give a ring to.

“My favorite player growing up was Reggie Miller, actually. My dad would probably be mad, my dad was my favorite player, loved watching pops play. But I loved watching Reggie, just the way he moved on the court and the big shots he hit. And he was just fearless. So it was a dream come true when my dad got to go up against Reggie.”

There is no doubt that there is some Reggie Miller in Stephen Curry’s game. Curry is elite at moving off-ball, and he’s also hit some big-time shots in the postseason. It is a shame that we never saw Reggie Miller win a ring with the Indiana Pacers. However, that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t a great player, and he will forever be known as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.
