The Memphis Grizzlies will aim to win the 2024 NBA Championship. Ja Morant’s presence is incredibly important for that to become a reality.
While Ja will return to the roster after serving his 25-game suspension, the Grizzlies still need a guarantee their superstar will not repeat his controversial actions. According to NBA analyst Dan Devine, Derrick Rose is the perfect player to mentor Ja Morant.
“There’s a vibes component to that. I talked to some people in Memphis media that were like, ‘If there’s somebody that Ja’s gonna maybe like listen to… Somebody who can talk to Ja from the perspective of, I’ve been at the absolute pinnacle, and I’ve had difficult things on and off the court that I’ve had to go through and move forward in my career and my life.’ So maybe like, there’s some synergy there,” Devine said of Rose.
Derrick Rose has seen his fair share of ups and downs in the NBA. Keeping that in mind, the 34-year-old is the ideal person to keep Ja on track. Rose signed a two-year deal with the franchise at the start of free agency.
