With the off-season going into the summer months, a lot of players are keeping busy before the NBA season begins in October. A lot of NBA players like to give back to the sport by holding camps for young players who want to hone their craft. Grant Williams did the same, but he found out that these young players have great skills.
At his camp, Grant Williams decided to go one-on-one with some of the players at his camp. Williams had the ball in his hands and was trying to post him up. When Williams decided to give the camp a treat and dunk on the young player, he found that the kid had good defense, and wasn’t even able to make it to the rim.
Grant Williams really tried it 😅

Williams clearly wasn’t taking things too seriously, and even laughed off the failed dunk attempt. As a solid NBA player, there is no doubt that Williams could have dunked on the player if he wanted to, but he seemed to be having a good time and wanting to give the young players some good memories.
Grant Williams Is Ready To Embark On A New Journey
After a successful stint with the Boston Celtics, where he made the conference finals the last two years in a row and even went to the NBA Finals, Williams was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he will get the chance to play alongside Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.
Williams had a solid season with the Celtics last year, averaging 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. While Williams was far from a star player for the Celtics, he did play an important role on the team, especially on the defensive end of the court.
The Mavericks have struggled on the defensive end of the court for a long time. So Williams will add some much-needed defensive presence to the squad, filling in a gap left by Dorian Finney-Smith when the Kyrie Irving trade took place. The Mavericks will look to make it back to the playoffs this year.
