The NBA is home to the best players in the world and is constantly evolving. If you’re not able to keep pace with how the league changes, you can go from being one of the best players in the league to being out of the NBA in the span of a few years ago. That is exactly what has happened to Kemba Walker.

Kemba Walker went from being an All-Star in 2020 to being out of the league in 2023. And recently, he signed a contract with AS Monaco to play in the Euro League. Despite embarking on a new adventure, Kemba still hopes to make it back to the NBA sooner rather than later but is focused on his future with Monaco.

“I’m not certain. I mean, the NBA is obviously the main goal, but I’ve played there for many years. For now, I’m solely focused on my new adventure, this experience that awaits me with the new life I’m going to have”.

“I’m so excited and eager to seize this opportunity in Monaco. I can’t wait to explore the city and meet the people, my teammates, the staff, and everything surrounding the club. We’re going to have some great moments. Can’t wait for it to begin.”

Walker might benefit from playing in the Euro League, as it forces players to be more fundamental, and enforces rules for players more stringently. Many Euro League players have spoken about how playing in the league made the transition to the NBA a lot easier.

Can Kemba Walker Make It Back To The NBA?

Kemba Walker was once one of the best point guards in the NBA. His offensive ability and his solid shooting made him one of the most sought-after guards in the league. And he was also an All-Star 4 times in his career. But his fall off was quite surprising to see.

For his time in the NBA, Kemba Walker has averaged 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game. But in his final stint in the league, Walker did not show this incredible offensive power, averaging just 8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Can Kemba Walker make it back to the league? If his time in Monaco goes well, there is no reason why he wouldn’t be able to find a way back to the NBA with a team that could do with his scoring.
