NBA Fans Hilariously Answered Which Player Would Be Cast As Ken In The Barbie Movie

With the hype surrounding the new Barbie movie, NBA fans picked the players they thought had the most Ken-ergy.

The release of the new ‘Barbie’ movie has gotten the world talking. The Greta Gerwig film has taken movie-going audiences by storm, as fans around the world flocked to theatres dressed in pink to watch Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and company bring one of the most iconic toys in history to the big screen. 

But which NBA players would have made suitable Kens in the movie? NBA fans took to Twitter to answer this question. Players like Kyle Kuzma (and his big pink sweater, Jordan Poole, and rookie Gradey Dick were named by NBA fans as potentially having the right Ken-ergy for the role.

A lot of the players selected by fans happened to look similar to the male lead, Ryan Gosling or happened to be wearing pink in their picture. Either way, perhaps some of these players can make an appearance in the sequel.


NBA Players To Start Breaking Into Hollywood More Frequently?

There has been no shortage of NBA players who have appeared on the big screen. Michael Jordan and LeBron James have been stars of their own movies with the Space Jam titles. Whereas players like Ray Allen and Juancho Hernangomez have also starred as basketball players in big movies.

Some players were even able to find success on the big screen before they made it to the NBA. Giannis Antetokounmpo was in an Australian film called ‘Dead Europe’ one year before he was drafted to the Milwaukee Bucks. And 10 years later, Giannis would be the subject of his own biopic made by Disney Studios.

Which NBA player will be the next to make it to Hollywood? That remains to be seen,  but don’t be surprised if one of the players mentioned above finds themselves in Barbieland for the sequel to ‘Barbie’ in the coming years.
