Kendrick Perkins Names His 5 All-Time Offseason Trades

Good call by Perkins here though, especially after his last 'Top 5' take on superteams that earned him quite the brickbats.

Kendrick Perkins had another big list coming. — this one was about the five major trades in the offseason.

Pun aside, the former NBA big man rolled out some choice trades that were instrumental for the sides that were engaged in the trades.

Dennis Rodman to the Chicago Bulls was one of the first major trades that Perkins mentioned. The move certainly yielded results for the franchise as Rodman was instrumental in the team’s second three-peat.

Davis to the Lakers was another successful move that saw LA lift the championship in 2020, as was Shaq to the Heat resulting in one more ring for the former Laker. KG’s move to the Celtics and Leonard’s to the Raptors from the Spurs all yielded the same result.

Good call by Perkins here, though, especially after his last ‘Top 5’ take on superteams that earned him quite the brickbats. Needless to say, this will surely go down as another debate on social media.

Kendrick Perkins’ Big List Of Offseason Trades Highlights The Importance Of Big Men Dominating The NBA

The moral of the story is simple: The bigs in the NBA can never be discounted, and honestly, shouldn’t be either.

The fact that Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets won, primarily from the center’s contribution, further cemented the fact. Rodman and Shaq, in particular, won three titles as dominating bigs, and that shows how the 90s and the early 2000s were the times the league was run by the power forwards and the bigs, more so than the sharpshooters.

Surely, fans will have their opinion on the matter, but as far as the list goes, and the majority of them are bigs, Perkins’ top 5 holds water.
