Magic Johnson is enjoying a vacation in Italy. The Los Angeles Lakers legend recently posted a picture of his legendary dinner with Michael Jordan on Twitter.

The post received a lot of love from fans. Following the dinner picture, Johnson also shared a tweet thanking young fans in Italy for showing him support. Johnson was surprised by his popularity in the country, especially among young fans.

“I was out shopping today in Capri, Italy with Cookie and I met so many amazing young fans! I’m blown away because none of them were even born when I was playing basketball! We were in the store today and they were all chanting ‘Magic, Magic,’ he tweeted.

Johnson posted a couple of more images and videos getting swarmed by the public. It’s great to see one of the best players of all time getting the recognition he deserves, even outside of the United States of America.

Magic will not forget his trip to Italy in a hurry. If anything, the five-time NBA champion must be looking forward to making it a yearly ritual to visit Italy and engage with his huge fanbase.

Magic Johnson Never Wanted To Play With Michael Jordan

After retirement, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan have become close friends. They are even on holiday together in Italy.

But does that mean Johnson wanted to share the court with Johnson during their playing days? Absolutely not. Magic never wanted to play with Jordan.

“I wasn’t a guy like that,” Magic said about teaming up with Jordan. “I never wanted to play with nobody but my dudes. I was good… I’ve always been a dude, where I end up, that’s where I roll… That was always my mindset. And I’m glad. But I will say this, that’s what makes sports special; competitiveness. Not everybody joining each other.”

Johnson and Jordan did play together for Team USA at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. They won the gold medal together. Outside of it, neither of the two legends ever expressed a desire to play together.
