Wembanyama seemed to attract a lot of attention heading into Las Vegas this weekend, as it would be NBA fans’ first chance to see him play as a San Antonio Spur. Victor Wembanyama had a poor first game in the NBA Summer League, scoring just 9 points and going 2 for 13 from the field. He even had multiple embarrassing moments during the game, including getting posterized by Kai Jones. Wembanyama will be hoping to turn things around going into tonight’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Kareem also gave advice to Wembanyama during the game, saying that he needs to be patient in his first few years in the NBA. Kareem was not the only legend who met Wembanyama. Carmelo Anthony spoke to him after the game and even gave him some advice about being in Las Vegas for the Summer League.
