Nikola Jokic cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players of all time this past offseason, as he led the Denver Nuggets to their first NBA championship in franchise history. Jokic was sensational and was awarded the Finals MVP trophy for his incredible performances. And recently, some fans wanted to acknowledge him for his accolades.

Nikola Jokic was spotted rafting in Bosnia during the offseason, clearly enjoying his downtime after an exhausting postseason. A few fans on a nearby raft spotted Jokic and recognized him, and began chanting MVP at him. Jokic clearly appreciated their chanting, as he waved and gave them a thumbs up out of appreciation.

Jokic is enjoying his time back in Europe, and traveling to Bosnia, a country very close to his home country of Serbia, is a way of him trying to unwind after playing some incredibly exhausting basketball for 9 months. It must have been a heartwarming experience for Jokic to get some fan appreciation during this time.

Nikola Jokic Is An All-Time Great

With Nikola Jokic winning the NBA championship and Finals MVP, he has now become part of an elite group of players to have won a regular season MVP, an NBA championship, and a Finals MVP award. The only other players in the NBA today to have done this are LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Recently, former NBA champion Dwight Howard claimed that he had a better prime than Nikola Jokic is currently experiencing. These claims did not go down well with Stephen A. Smith, who slammed Howard for his comments and praised Jokic.

Jokic and the Nuggets will want to continue their success and aim for another NBA championship next season but with the Western Conference becoming even stronger, they will have to work even harder to repeat as champions.
