The Utah Jazz are securing a big signing and keeping a player that can help them compete in the future. Following a season where they showed flashes of what they can do in the future, the Jazz have made some moves during the offseason to improve their level.

Jordan Clarkson was linked with a series of teams before the free agency opened, but now he’s ready to stay with the Jazz and help the squad get better ahead of a challenging 2023-24 NBA season. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Clarkson and the Jazz agreed to a three-year, $55 million deal.

“Utah’s Jordan Clarkson, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul and agent Brandon Cavanaugh are finalizing a three-year, $55 million contract renegotiation and extension with the Jazz, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Deal includes next season and two new years through 2025-26.”

Ever since he left the Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan Clarkson took his game to the next level. The player admitted that was a good decision for his career, as he developed into a solid scorer.

The Lakers were mentioned among the potential landing spots for Clarkson this summer, but the player decided to stay put in Salt Lake City to continue his good tenure with the Jazz.

In 61 games during the 2022-23 NBA season, Clarkson averaged 20.8 points, 4.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds with the Jazz.

The Utah Jazz Are Reportedly Interested In Damian Lillard

This team surprised a lot of fans during the first half of last season, even ranking first at some point in the Western Conference standings. Now, they’ll try to make a splash in the trade market, as they’re reportedly interested in Damian Lillard, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic

The point guard recently asked for a trade, and although his preferred destination is the Miami Heat, other teams will try to ruin Miami’s plans and lure Lillard away from South Beach.
