Projected No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama also said Westbrook is his favorite player. The 19-year-old revealed in a ’20 questions’ interview with the league.
“I remember at some point I was a big fan of [Russell] Westbrook, OKC,” Wembanyama said. “But I had plenty, didn’t have like one big idol.”

Russell Westbrook may be in the twilight years of his career right now, but his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder was iconic.
Russ spent 11 seasons with the franchise and averaged 23.0 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 8.4 APG. Although Brodie could never win a title with the team, he did win the sole MVP award of his career while donning an OKC jersey in 2017.
