Nick Wright took to Twitter to rank his greatest 25 NBA players by tiers and safe to say, it has some impressive names on it.
Earlier, the analyst had a top 20 that put LeBron James and No. 1 and Michael Jordan at No. 3. On that note, here’s a look at his 25-player list.
Tier 5: Dirk, Mailman, Barkley, Wade, Jokic, KG & Oscar
Tier 4: West, Doc, Moses, Durant, Giannis & Isiah
Tier 3: Duncan, Kobe, Bird, Hakeem, Shaq & Steph
Tier 2: Magic, Russell & Wilt
Tier 1: LeBron, Kareem & MJ
Tiers are probably easier:
1- LeBron, Kareem & MJ
2- Magic, Russell & Wilt
3- Duncan, Kobe, Bird, Hakeem, Shaq & Steph
4- West, Doc, Moses, Durant, Giannis & Isiah
5- Dirk, Mailman, Barkley, Wade, Jokic, KG & Oscar
That’s your Top 25 All Time.

This 25 players list comes after this 21-player pyramid of the most-trusted playoff players that Wright rolled out during the NBA playoffs.
In context, all three of Wright’s lists feature Nikola Jokic who won his first NBA title with the Denver Nuggets earlier this week. Now, count the players from the 60s and then the modern-day league, that’s one impressive list that the analyst has rolled out.
Nick Wright Once Said Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Had A Better Career Than LeBron James And Michael Jordan
He may have been one of the biggest LeBron James fans around in the analysts’ circuit but Wright once picked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for having a better career over the Lakers superstar and Michael Jordan.
During a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Wright mentioned that the three biggest candidates for the GOAT title were Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and LeBron, while also adding that KAJ has the best resume of these three.
“Nobody has more championships than him of the GOAT candidates. He has scored the most points, goals, or runs, whatever the sport is, of all the candidates. In fact, of everyone in history, and has the most league MVPs of everyone in history. It would not be controversial to say he should be in the discussion.”
It surely will be a controversial statement to make, and since then James has gone on to surpass him as the leading scorer in NBA history. But there is no doubt that the GOAT debate will forever center between James and MJ.
