Ben Simmons looks eager to be back on the court, and he gave the world a glimpse of him putting in the work.

The Brooklyn Nets guard took to Instagram to share stories of him working out. While he does look good and seems to have the eye of the tiger, there will still be doubts over his performance after what was a dismal run this time around, Simmons does look ready and raring to go.

Simmons finished with his career-lowest numbers this season — 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists from 42 games. And his future in the league, that’s shaky at best now, will heavily depend on how he fares in the upcoming season.

Spencer Dinwiddie Makes A Bold Claim About Ben Simmons’ Leadership

Earlier, Nets star Spencer Dinwiddie made a bold claim about Simmons’ leadership, saying that the former Philadelphia 76ers star could be the leader Brooklyn needs.

“Ben from Philly – that I played against – elite athlete, 6-foot-10, guard all five positions,” Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie said about Simmons on the ‘Gil’s Arena’ presented by Underdog Fantasy with Gilbert Arenas. “Can do things that, I mean we probably only really see Giannis [Antetokounmpo] kind of do to a degree – I mean, without the length.”

This comes on the back of reports that Simmons was confident of bagging his All-star form. “The group around Ben has noticed a complete change in Ben’s focus and mentality [through] this rehab and how he has attacked it and engaged with everything and there is a lot of belief in him being able to return to his All-Star form.” (h/t New York Post)

There’s no doubt that Simmons will struggle to break into the starting lineup, but the thing with caliber players is their ability to bounce back from adversity. Maybe 2023-24 is Simmons’ season
