Ahead of the NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson revealed his NBA models, and all three of them were Phoenix Suns stars.

Henderson picked Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Landry Shamet as his role models in the league. “Guys like Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Landry Shamet. All guys that I have looked up forever to and modeled my game after.”

This comes on the back of the projected top-three pick set to only workout with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Charlotte Hornets. Henderson has been the No. 2 player all through the year and will even visit the Hornets. However, recent updates also suggest Alabama prospect Brandon Miller is in the race to be the second player off the board.

It will be interesting to see how Henderson fares when he gets the chance to play against his stars, who he has patterned his game on.

Scoot Henderson Strongly Believes He Can Be Great Alongside Damian Lillard

Speaking to the media after his workout with the Blazers, the guard was asked about his chances to create a backcourt with Damian Lillard, to which he had a confident reply:

“Those guys have different games than me,” he said when speaking on other guards his size that played with Lillard. “Anywhere I go, I think I can fit in. I can do a lot of things on the floor and I think that’s the beauty about me and the beauty about being Scoot Henderson. I’m going to give 110 percent effort every time. I’m an attacker, I’m a facilitator and I can do a lot of things on the floor. I think I can fit in anywhere.”

Henderson’s oozing confidence comes as a good sign for whichever franchise drafts him. He has been a prolific scorer, and his athleticism and size are on his side to make an impact when he takes the floor. Only time will tell if it’s alongside Lillard.
