Shaquille O’Neal and Stephen Curry don’t have a lot in common outside the fact that both of them are arguably two of the greatest players to have ever stepped onto an NBA court.
Unfortunately, Shaq and Steph both were linked to the bankrupt crypto-exchange FTX. Celebrities that endorsed FTX are being hounded by lawyers and O’Neal seemingly made a reference to that while awarding Steph with the NBA’s Social Justice Award.
“You’re my favorite player. Just want to say congratulations my brother, and thanks for getting me in trouble. Don’t say nothing. Be quiet.”

Curry and O’Neal are two people of interest in the recent lawsuits against the crypto-exchange FTX. Curry and the Golden State Warriors have already been served with papers for their involvement, but O’Neal has repeatedly avoided interaction with lawyers and is yet to be served.
Shaquille O’Neal’s Business Empire
Shaquille O’Neal is one of the smartest basketball players in the world. We’re not only referring to his ability to be over seven feet tall and still be impossible for authorities to find out where he is but the way he spent all the money he made from his playing career.
Shaq has invested in various businesses, including Papa John’s Pizza and started his own brand of fried chicken restaurants. Magic Johnson gave him crucial advice when he was a young player in the league about being more than just a name, a philosophy that O’Neal took to heart.
O’Neal is reportedly worth over $400 million and is often seen making massive acts of charities. It seems he didn’t do his research before partnering up with FTX. It will be interesting to see how much longer he can avoid persecution in this situation.
