The Los Angeles Lakers season has come to a brutal end in the Western Conference Finals after losing Game 4 to the Denver Nuggets and being swept 4-0.

LeBron James had 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists on the night as he went out fighting. Nikola Jokic notched his eighth postseason triple-double with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists in a great performance. Fans were stunned to see the Lakers’ season end the way it did.

Fans want to appreciate the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic instead of the narrative focusing on what the Lakers and LeBron James didn’t do.

This series shouldn’t be about the Lakers failing or a “stain” on LeBron’s legacy. This is strictly about the Nuggets just being that damn good because they have one of the 5 best offensive players of all time, Nikola Jokic. pic.twitter.com/TDwHB6dJts

James played almost every minute and did everything for the Lakers on both ends of the floor yet has been heavily criticized for his second half performance.

Fatigue played a big part in LeBron slowing down in the second half, which many fans recognized.

LeBron been playing with the gatorade symbol since the 2nd quarter man this is tragic

LeBron’s 20th season in the NBA has ended in disappointment but it shouldn’t take away from the magnitude of what we saw him do as a 38-year-old in the NBA.

We’re never gonna see a 38 year old in year 20 do this again . Folks need to appreciate lebron while he’s still in the league pic.twitter.com/59KDIHCZhv

Jokic has silenced all his doubters and has finally led the Nuggets to their first Finals in NBA history.

The question was “can you be successful in the playoffs with Jokic as your center?” Hes proven again that the answer is a definitive YES.

Jokic hit an insane step-back three in the clutch that ultimately played a huge part in the final result, causing many fans to go crazy.

The best player in the world conversation has been ended by Nikola Jokic with this series win.

Jokic is the best in the world.

Flat out.

Anthony Davis had 21 points and 14 rebounds with a good fourth-quarter performance but his performance has been heavily criticized. Jamal Murray had 25 points while Aaron Gordon came up big with 22 points in the win.

The Nuggets will await the winner of the Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics series where the Heat are currently 3-0 up. The Lakers will have a big offseason, needing to figure out what touches their roster needs to come back next season and compete for the title.
