If things go according to recent developments, chances are that Bob Myers might still be the GM of the Golden State Warriors.
After it was reported that the franchise would be bracing for Myers’ departure in June, Mark Willard of 95.7 The Game said the president of basketball operations has been offered a solid contract and chances are that he may not leave the franchise.
“The idea that Bob has made his decision and that Bob is very likely gone is being wildly overstated,” Willard said.

This comes as good news for the Warriors and their faithful. Myers has been one of the top-notch front-office executives in the NBA, and losing him would mean a significant disadvantage.
Myers was the one responsible for acquiring Kevin Durant and landing Steve Kerr and Klay Thompson in the Warriors fold. Surely, there are more solid moves in his tank if he decides to extend his time with the Warriors.
Why Do The Warriors Need Bob Myers?
Quite simply, it’s to see him bring in more success with his tenacity and bold moves for Golden State. While he did have his share of mistakes by putting the Warriors in a bit of a rut in terms of the roster, he has the backing of the staff and the players.
It will be an interesting offseason in San Francisco. The Warriors will need Myers to pull off some massive moves — one that includes the future of Draymond Green. Myers has a solid relationship with team superstars Stephen Curry and Thompson and safe to say both of them would campaign for his return as well.
The presumed replacement is Mike Dunleavy Jr., a former player, and the present assistant GM. There are no concrete developments yet, but it’s not going to be a lull period soon, with June looming.
