All Four Teams From The 2020 “Bubble” Conference Finals Will Play Again In The 2023 Conference Finals

The 2019-20 NBA season will always hold a unique place in the history of the league due to the complications caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The last few games, alongside the playoffs, were held in the Orlando Bubble. Considering there was no crowd in the arenas, many disregarded the value of the teams that made it to the Conference Finals during the 2020 playoffs.

However, just three years down the line, the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics have all made it back to the Conference Finals.

It is the perfect clap back to people who believe that the level of competition in the Bubble wasn’t elite. If that were the case, all four Conference Finalists wouldn’t have been in the same position in 2023.

Will The 2023 NBA Conference Finals Have The Same Results As The 2020 Bubble Conference Finals?

With just four teams left in the NBA playoffs, we are getting closer to seeing which team will lift the 2023 NBA Championship.

Considering this season’s Conference Finals are essentially a rematch from the 2020 playoffs, it will be exciting to see if fans get to see the same results. Here’s a look at how things went down in 2020:

2020 Western Conference Finals: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets 4-1

2020 Eastern Conference Finals: Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics 4-2

The Lakers went on to win the 2020 NBA Championship against the Miami Heat. Since then, the Purple and Gold have been given several “reality checks” due to winning the Bubble Championship. But if the Lakers can produce the same result as in 2020, it will be a slap in the face of their haters.

On the other hand, the Nuggets and the Celtics will be hoping to get their revenge from three years ago. Considering they both are the higher seeds this season (the Nuggets were first in the West, and the Celtics were second in the East), they have a real shot at doing so.

Which two teams will reach the 2023 NBA Finals? Will we see a rematch from the 2020 NBA Finals? Fans will find out in a matter of a few days.
