Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are the centerpieces of the Golden State Warriors dynasty, this core has been responsible for the franchise winning four NBA championships.

While Stephen Curry is the true Warriors superstar, Draymond Green is also known to be a vocal and emotional leader. And Andre Iguodala once shared the story of the time he got angry with Steph, leading to a hilarious exchange.

“My favorite Steph story is, and Draymond is going to be so mad at me… We were in Portland, I think you might have been out for a couple of games and you came back,” Iguodala said to Steph Curry on the Point Forward podcast. “So he’s just trying to in his legs figure it out, like he’s gotta get his attempts. Alright, and I get it! So he hadn’t gotten back to his groove yet right, so he might be you know, he 2/12 or whatever.

“Draymond start getting Draymond,” Iguodala said to Curry. “‘Hey man it’s the Warriors! This a Steph Curry show but it ain’t just Steph Curry, it’s the Warriors.’ I’m like, ‘Draymond just chill man, just let him shoot it out.’ Draymond said, ‘No g we working hard out here too!’

“So, Steph took another shot and he going crazy,” Iguodala said. “So like, he [Steph] looked at me one time and was like, ‘Yo who he yelling at?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’  He [Steph] was like, ‘Draymond what did you say?’ Draymond was like, ‘Man you took a bad shot!’ Then [Steph] looked at me and was like, ‘And I’m gonna shoot it again!'”

Stephen Curry is undoubtedly the greatest shooter in NBA history; he has the ultimate green light to shoot whatever shots he likes. It speaks to Draymond Green’s character and will to win that he was willing to hold his superstar accountable, which he still does, but there was always going to be one result at the end of that.

Stephen Curry Is Trying To Lead His Team Back From A 3-1 Deficit Against The Lakers

Draymond Green and Klay Thompson will be the first to admit that the Warriors dynasty wouldn’t exist without Stephen Curry. He carried them and won Finals MVP in the 2021-22 season, and he’s still not done yet this season. Curry is averaging over 30 points and 6 assists per game in this season’s playoffs, and he is the reason the Warriors got out of the first round too,

An all-important Game 6 is coming up in the series between the Lakers and the Warriors, and Curry will need to step up once again. If he is cooking and the rest of the team, including Draymond, does their job, the Warriors will have erased their deficit. His confidence is what makes Curry great, and he will be letting shots fly no matter what in the next game as well.
