Nikola Jokic and Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia got into a physical altercation during Game 4, one of the main talking points from the game.

Jokic was fined $25,000 for elbow-shoving Ishbia during the skirmish. The 2-time MVP was furious with Ishbia’s actions after Game 4, but he and Ishbia seemed to have moved past it, embracing each other before the start of Game 5 in Denver.

This incident became the biggest talking point from Game 4, which is a shame because the Suns executed really well on the court to earn that win. Devin Booker and Kevin Durant went nuclear with their scoring outbursts, while Jokic himself dropped 53 points with 11 assists in a losing effort. Hopefully, Game 5 focuses on just basketball.

Can The Suns Complete Their Series Comeback?

The Phoenix Suns were considered dead in the water after falling to a 2-0 deficit early in the series, as the Nuggets just looked dominant. The rotational depth in Phoenix is concerning, and most assumed that lack of depth will play into Denver’s hands, but it’s just allowed Booker and Durant to have some incredible games to lead the team to wins.

This series will come down to defense at the end of the day. So far, neither team has been able to contain the other outside of a low-scoring Game 2. The Suns and Nuggets will both hope that they can find that level of defensive effort for the rest of the series, as this could genuinely go to seven games.

Game 5 is in Denver, with the high-altitude likely posing challenges to the Suns. Either way, they’re going to do everything to steal the win and go back home with a 3-2 lead and the chance to eliminate Jokic’s Nuggets from yet another postseason.
