ESPN Analyst Thinks The Miami Weather Is Sapping The Energy Out Of The Knicks

After Jalen Rose, ESPN's Mike Greenberg believed that Miami weather was sucking the energy out of the Knicks.

ESPN’s Mike Greenberg believed the Miami weather was draining the New York Knicks after they went down 109-101 on Monday to give the Heat a 3-1 lead.

“I know people will associate that with the nightlife and all of that. But there’s also the reality of the temperature change, the heat, the geography, being down there for three days,” Greenberg said on Get Up. “It somewhat saps a little bit of your energy and strength.”

This comes on the back of Jalen Rose’s comments. “But also as a road, when you’re the road team, you gotta pay attention to that weather and that heat,” Rose had said.

“Because it causes your muscles to have a little… It affects the endurance of your muscles and causes tiredness. So if you noticed the Knicks in particular are making shots inside the paint but they’re missing shots outside the paint.”

To throw in opinion for good measure, New York has been undone by some brilliance from Jimmy Butler, and Miami’s better rebounding which Julius Randle reflected upon after the loss. Guess the weather could be added to the list of factors that has the Knicks sweating.

The New York Knicks Must Win Game 5 To Stay Alive In The Playoffs

The Knicks will need to play out of their skins and win 5 to force another game and another chance to stay alive in the tournament. Much depends on Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle to help the Knicks in contention.

In addition, they will need to figure out a way to contain Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, who have flipped on their postseason switches. More importantly, the Knicks will be contending with a team that’s made the playoffs at a regular rate, meaning there’s pressure to absorb and endure.

It’s not an easy time if one’s a Knicks fan but after their impressive postseason outing against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Knicks will need to do better to make a deeper run this season whether the weather is conducive or not.
