Julius Randle lambasted the New York Knicks for their lackluster effort in Game 4 vs. the Miami Heat on Monday.

“Maybe they want it more, I don’t know,” Randle said in the aftermath of the 109-101 loss that puts them at a 3-1 disadvantage. “That’s been who we are all year, and we’ve got to find a way to step up and make those plays if we want to keep this season alive.”

The Knicks’ below-par effort on the rebounding cost them the game, and Randle didn’t mince his words when talking about the aspect. Miami was better on that front beating the Knicks 44-35. Randle had 20 points and six assists, but fouled out and even had six turnovers to his name.

For the Heat, Jimmy Butler (27 points) and Bam Adebayo (23 points) led from the front to close out a win in Game 3. They will hope to lock up the series at Madison Square Garden next.

Can The Miami Heat Coast Past The New York Knicks In Game 5?

The Heat won the rebounding battle in Game 4, and that was a major decisive factor in helping them walk away with a win. The Knicks have matched the Heat’s shot-for-shot on the offense and will be keen to shore up their defense.

Although, for the Knicks, it’s easier said than done with Jimmy Butler continuing his stellar form despite the ankle injury. He will be eager to close it out in the next game to give himself and Miami some recovery time before they face the likes of the Philadelphia 76ers or the Boston Celtics next.

For now, it looks advantageous for Miami as they head to MSG, confident that they can repeat their Game 3 pyrotechnics. Only time will tell if the Knicks show any fight in their backyard. Maybe they can take Randle’s words to heart and dish out a better performance.
