The Golden State Warriors will be ruing their missed opportunities on their trip back to the Bay Area before Game 5 after falling to a 3-1 series deficit against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Game 4 ended with the Warriors’ offense coming to a screeching halt. The final play for the Warriors saw Draymond Green throw the ball to Anthony Davis in a crucial missed pass that ensured GSW will stay three points behind. Dennis Schroder was seen laughing at Draymond after that play was over.

Schroder has been a surprisingly important defender for the Lakers, manning the perimeter and even guarding Stephen Curry at points in this series. He is also an instigator on the court, so he was bound to rub the game-losing mistake in Draymond’s face after he made it.
The Warriors Dynasty Looks To Be Ending
The Warriors have had two seasons with no playoff appearances and two Finals losses in this 8-year stretch of dominance from 2015 onwards. But in those failed seasons, it never seemed like it was over. Both the regular seasons were plagued with injury and so was the 2019 Finals. The 2016 Finals was a historic collapse that they rebounded from by adding Kevin Durant in the summer.
They haven’t lost in the West under Steve Kerr, a record that is in danger now. They have overcome a 3-1 deficit under Kerr before and the Lakers will have to be extremely wary of giving Golden State even a little bit of light this series.
The Lakers need to push to end this in Game 5 and send GSW into one of its most uncertain offseasons in years, with Draymond Green possibly becoming a free agent and longtime GM Bob Myers possibly departing as well.
