Draymond Green’s warmth was on full display when he shared a wholesome moment with his kids on the podium after the Golden State Warriors blowout 127-110 win in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers On Thursday.
Speaking to the media, who asked him why it was important to get his kids to the podium, “When you’re just able to get the energy of children in here, it’s always special. That’s something that I don’t take for granted,” the seasoned veteran said.
“These are memories that will last a lifetime. We miss so much time with our kids,” Green explained. “I think it’s not just us as basketball players; you have an obligation to provide for your child. Growing up in the circumstances that I grew up in, I never want them to experience that,” Green further added.

This isn’t the first time Green has been vocal about having children around. Earlier this season, he had a wholesome moment with Deuce, Jayson Tatum’s son, when Golden State played the Boston Celtics. For all the intensity he brings to the fore, there’s nothing like some love from kids that balances out things for the athlete.

The win will buoy the Warriors who head to LA for Games 3 and 4. However, they have a stern challenge on their hands as the Lakers hold a league record for rattling off nine straight wins in Game 3 whenever the series is tied at 1-1 apiece. But there’s no denying that the Warriors will not be short of confidence when they take the Lakers in their own backyard.
