LeBron James was always considered a terrific talent in the NBA, and during his 20-year career, the King hasn’t stopped amazing people.

It’s been a while since James made it to the league, but ever since that moment, he hasn’t stopped doing incredible things on the court. Former rival Caron Butler, revealed the moment he knew LeBron was special, as he had a response for every coverage the Washington Wizards threw at him (32:58 mark).

“This is when I knew LeBron was special. This all happened in one playoffs. We played him three years in a row in the playoffs, but this is how I knew he was special. We tried to go under on pick and rolls, that didn’t work. We tried to go over, try to bully over, we tried to shoot the gaps, we tried to stay connected, we tried to meet him in transition, we tried to weak him, strong him, we blitzed him, we tried to red, send the double team, late blocks. We showed him literally every coverage in the playoffs series. And he dissected it. And I was just like, ‘he different.’ That’s when I knew, I was like, ‘as long as he stays available and durable, he’s going to probably shatter just about every record.'”

Just like Butler predicted, LeBron set and broke many records during his NBA stint. He’s been dominating the competition for 20 years now, and the King isn’t stopping anytime soon.

Of course, age has started to hit him, and his level has decreased in the past couple of years. Still, LeBron always carries huge expectations, and the fact that people were shocked he didn’t get a single MVP award this season at age 38, perfectly explains how incredible he’s been.

LeBron James Has Always Been A Student Of The Game

James keeps trying to evolve and get better despite his age, and that’s why he remains relevant and among the league’s elite. He broke the all-time scoring record a couple of months ago, which confirmed to many that James is the greatest player of all time.

His memory is still unbelievable, which makes things easier for him. He’s not getting any younger, and right now, he’s the one seeing new players and realizing they are special. Meanwhile, the King keeps trying to win another championship, this time with the Los Angeles Lakers. They have a good chance to make history this season, but the competition won’t be easy.
