Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered a defeat in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Curry recorded 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists despite being closely defended by Dennis Schroder and Jarred Vanderbilt throughout the game. Speaking of Curry’s talent, Anthony Davis recently showed nothing but respect for him prior to Game 2 of the series.

“As long as he’s on the other side, it’s not over,” Davis said. “I remember we were up 20 in New Orleans… He went on a run, the whole team obviously, but he’s the head of the snake, and when he’s playing unbelievable basketball. … Their team just never goes away.”

Stephen Curry is the heart and soul of the Warriors dynasty. A huge reason behind it is the fact that Steph never seems to give up on making sure that the Dubs have a chance to win any game.

He proved that in Game 7 of the first-round series against the Sacramento Kings by dropping 50 points and leading the Warriors to the Western Conference Semifinals.

Stephen Curry Slammed People Who Wrote Off The Warriors

Stephen Curry’s mentality doesn’t receive nearly as much credit as it deserves from the media and fans as it should.

Whenever someone has doubted the Warriors, Steph has made it his personal mission to clap back at those people. Curry recently did so when he was asked about people writing off the Warriors.

“Not as long as I’m still breathing,” Curry answered to when should his team be counted out.

Steph is a special player, and by the time he retires, he has a chance of winning the greatest point guard to ever play.

It will be exciting to see if the Lakers will be able to keep Curry in check throughout the series, as they did in Game 1.
