Superstar Stephen Curry recently had a dominant performance in Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings, scoring 50 points for the Golden State Warriors. There is no doubt that this game showed why he’s one of the best players in the league.

Prior to the game, there were a lot of people who were writing the Warriors off, with some even claiming that their dynasty might be over. Malik Monk even called them old. Stephen Curry dismissed that notion, pointing out that as long as he’s “still breathing” the team shouldn’t be counted out.

“Not as long as I’m still breathing,” Curry said per Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.

There is no doubt that Stephen Curry is one of those players that give his team a chance to win on any given night, no matter the odds. The Warriors will always be a threat for the championship as long as he’s on the roster.

In the first round, Stephen Curry averaged 33.7 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 4.9 APG for the Warriors. It is clear that the point guard is on another level right now, and we’ll see just how far he can take his team.

Stephen Curry Motivated His Team With An Inspirational Speech Before Game 7

As most all-time basketball legends are, Stephen Curry is a fantastic leader. In fact, prior to Game 7, Curry gave an inspirational speech to his teammates, promising to “deliver victory” if they “bought in” and trusted him.

“According to multiple sources in the private session, Curry told the team he believed in them, that they had enough to win,” The Athletic reported. “He asked for their trust in return. He assured them he could deliver victory if they all bought in. He implored them to put all of their feelings aside — which sources with knowledge of the locker room felt was messaging directed at Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, and other guys who might’ve been unhappy for reasons such as playing time and role — and lock into the unified mission. Anyone who wanted to remain in their emotions, he told them to stay home. Anyone who was ready for their vacation, he told them not to get on the bus for Sacramento. But anyone who did get on the bus, Curry took that as a signature of approval, a binding agreement to be on board with the mission. And if they did that, if they got on the bus, he promised he’d deliver. With his game, his faith, their solidarity, they’d win.”

There’s no doubt that this is an insane moment from Stephen Curry, and it shows that he was willing to be outspoken when his team needed it the most. He is an inspiring player who leads both by example and vocally.

Hopefully, we do see the Golden State Warriors get deep in the playoffs. They have the talent to win it all, and we will see if they will get past the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.
