Stephen Curry scored the most points in a Game 7 in NBA history against the Kings. Once again, he showed why he is one of the best players in the league.

Before this massive victory, Steph reportedly gave an inspirational speech where he warned Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, and other teammates who were not satisfied with the role – what they need to do in order to win the series against the Kings.

“According to multiple sources in the private session, Curry told the team he believed in them, that they had enough to win,” The Athletic reported. “He asked for their trust in return. He assured them he could deliver victory if they all bought in.

“He implored them to put all of their feelings aside — which sources with knowledge of the locker room felt was messaging directed at Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, and other guys who might’ve been unhappy for reasons such as playing time and role — and lock into the unified mission. Anyone who wanted to remain in their emotions, he told them to stay home. Anyone who was ready for their vacation, he told them not to get on the bus for Sacramento.

“But anyone who did get on the bus, Curry took that as a signature of approval, a binding agreement to be on board with the mission. And if they did that, if they got on the bus, he promised he’d deliver. With his game, his faith, their solidarity, they’d win.”

Jordan Poole had a pretty bad series, averaging 12 points while shooting an abysmal 33.8% from the field. Naturally, his minutes dropped from the regular season, he averaged seven minutes less in the playoffs. Kuminga saw the floor even less, averaging just 6 minutes per game in the series. Their frustration is understandable, but Curry handled the situation like a true legendary leader.

Jordan Poole Had Visible Issues With Different People In The Warriors’ Franchise During The Series

Everyone knows about the animosity between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. And it was on display again during this series when Poole refused to shake Green’s hand during Game 6. He ignored Stephen Curry at the time too, which is not a good look for him at all.

He also got into a heated exchange on the sidelines with a member of the coaching staff, which led fans to speculate about how long the Warriors will tolerate his antics. If he doesn’t step up his production soon, Jordan Poole may find himself in a position he does not want to be in.
