The Los Angeles Lakers were hard at work ahead of their Game 2 skirmish against the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum on Tuesday.
The Athletic’s Jovan Buha took to Twitter to share practice videos from the Lakers’ workout session that saw the stay-ready group put in the hard yards.
“The Lakers’ stay-ready group post-practice: Mo Bamba, Wenyen Gabriel, Max Christie, Lonnie Walker IV, Tristan Thompson, Shaq Harrison, Cole Swider, and Scotty Pippen Jr.,” he tweeted.

The Lakers bench was instrumental in the team’s 128-112 win against Memphis in the first game. The LA second unit outscored the host’s bench 39-24, with 29 of those points coming from Rui Hachimura.
Also spotted during practice were Malik Beasley and LeBron James, who were drilling three-pointers. It makes sense that the former paid more attention to shooting from beyond the arc after he registered zero points in the first game and only had a solitary rebound to show.

The Lakers looked in good nick heading into the playoffs and made a splash in the first skirmish trailing the Grizzlies only in the second quarter. They led in the remaining segments and will look to continue their form on Wednesday.
Desmond Bane Outlines The Grizzlies Plan To Counter Anthony Davis
The Grizzlies were tested by the Lakers’ defense, buoyed by Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt. And ahead of the second game, Desmond Bane shared his thoughts on how the side could counter Anthony Davis.
“It’s going to be a challenge the whole series,” Bane told the official NBA site, of neutralizing James and Davis by “dictating a faster style of play,” the guard said.
“I think ball movement is going to have to be at a premium. We felt like we played well, but we can definitely play a whole lot better. We still had our chances.”
While Bane has plans of upping the pace and using it to their advantage, the Lakers have been pesky on the defensive front, forcing Memphis to make errors. With Ja Morant still a game-time decision, Bane and the rest of the side will have their task cut out when they take on the resurgent LA outfit on Wednesday.
