Anthony Davis has undoubtedly returned to his old form this season. The 30-year-old has carried the Los Angeles Lakers on his shoulder over the last few months.

The Lakers big man recently talked about the impact of head coach Darvin Ham on helping him grow as a player this season.

“Staying positive that things will change around, and that’s what Ham is all about, positive energy and just keep moving forward,” Davis said. “I think I kind of picked some of that up this year.”

Darvin Ham has shown complete trust in Anthony Davis since taking control of the Los Angeles Lakers. It may not seem like a huge deal, but it has helped Davis regain his status as a dominant big in the league.

AD helped the Lakers attain a 43-39 record and clinch the seventh seed in the Western Conference. He averaged 25.9 PPG, 12.5 RPG, and 2.6 APG over 56 games this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers Will Play The Minnesota Timberwolves In The Play-In Tournament

For a brief period of time, the Los Angeles Lakers had a shot at becoming the fifth seed in the West. But after playing all 82 games of the season, the Lakers have to be satisfied with the seventh seed.

They will now host the Minnesota Timberwolves in a crucial play-in game on Tuesday. Considering the Timberwolves are shorthanded, the Purple and Gold shouldn’t have a lot of trouble in advancing to the playoffs.

The Lakers fanbase will hope to see more of Anthony Davis’ dominant side in the play-in game and, hopefully, the postseason. Alongside Davis, LeBron James found his form in the final game of the season.

The one-two punch between the two superstars should be more than enough to send the Timberwolves back home and clinch a permanent spot in the playoffs.
