Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has become one of the best players in his position over the last couple of years. But recently, Brown’s name has been thrown in some hasty rumors about his potential departure from the Celtics.

The 26-year-old sounded very unsure about his future with the team in an interview a couple of weeks ago. Keeping that in mind, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins recently revealed that he thinks Jaylen Brown wants to leave the Celtics due to some locker room issues.

“Something is going on in that locker room or in that organization because he is giving me all the signs that he wants out of Boston,” Perkins said. “Whether it’s him addressing the fanbase, whether it’s him basically talking about, let’s see how much the organization really value me because my name is in trade rumors every single year.

“And not only do you lose Ime Udoka, you also lose Damon Stoudemire, who was kind of like that real one that they could come to him, or he could kind of be like, ‘Hey man, stop f*****g around, you bulls******g’ He’s not on that bench no more.”

The departure of Ime Udoka and Damon Stoudemire has apparently left Brown feeling alone, according to Perkins.

Apart from that, if Brown indeed decides to leave, a prominent driving force would be his name constantly in trade rumors. Brown has helped the Celtics reach a 54-24 record in the Eastern Conference this season as of now.

Considering Brown is currently averaging 26.7 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and 3.4 APG, losing him would be a huge blow to the Boston Celtics.

Does Jaylen Brown Really Want To Leave The Boston Celtics?

With the rumors about Jaylen Brown wanting out of the Celtics catching more fire, it’s worrying the team’s fanbase.

But despite being unsure about his future with the organization earlier, Brown recently cleared the air about the possibility of his exit from the team.

“Nothing right now,” Brown said. “Right now, the only thing I want to clarify is that the Celtics need to play better and win more games. If I want to say something in the future about the kind of things that have been floating around, I will. But in terms of right now, I like when people hear things from the horse’s mouth, and you can see my reaction, my face, and everything how I feel about what I’m saying. Sometimes those things can get lost in translation, you know? So if I feel the need to do so, I will. I keep constant communication with my teammates and my organization, and we’ve gotta have everybody on board if we want to do what we say we want to do. So right now, I’m focused on that.”

The 2023 NBA playoffs are right around the corner, and Brown’s obviously focused on helping the Celtics potentially win the title.

So, it is possible that he may drop a bomb about his future with the franchise after the postseason. How the Celtics perform in the playoffs this season will heavily impact Brown’s decision for sure.
