Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is widely considered to be the best point guard in the league right now, and many view him as a top 10 player in NBA history, based on his accolades and the fact that he’s changed the game.
Every legendary player is confident in themselves, and Stephen Curry is no different. Recently, we saw him direct some trash talk toward Chris Paul, claiming that “it’s not 2014” anymore. Draymond Green recently offered his reaction to his teammate’s trash-talk:
“I appreciated the bar by Steph Curry,” said Green. “You gotta dig into that confidence. That’s pretty much saying the last time you were better than me was in 2014. That was 9 years ago… almost a decade. That’s a bar.”

There is no doubt that this was a cold line by Stephen Curry, and he is definitely one of the more underrated trash-talkers in the league. The Golden State Warriors ended up winning the game against the Phoenix Suns, and Stephen Curry clearly backed his words up with his play.
As of right now, Stephen Curry is averaging 29.6 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 6.3 APG for the Warriors. He has been highly efficient as well, shooting 49.7% from the field and 43.6% from the 3PT range. He will determine how far the Golden State Warriors go in the playoffs this year, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
Stephen Curry Is Still Confident In The Warriors’ Championship Chances This Season
There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are proven winners. That is why many people are not worried about the Warriors’ inconsistencies this season. In fact, Stephen Curry himself still believes that the Warriors can be a “tough matchup” for any team that they face.
“So, there’s just a lot that we’re trying to deal with and still stay optimistic about where we’re headed because until we get beat, we still feel like we’re a tough matchup for anybody. And that’s the confidence we have to have down the stretch and headed to the postseason,” said Curry.
There are definitely some question marks around the Golden State Warriors this year, and rightfully so. However, when the team is fully healthy, they can compete against anyone in the league. We should never count out a dynasty like the Warriors, as they have proven enough over the year.
Hopefully, we see the Golden State Warriors figure things out sooner rather than later. They are still an elite team, and it would be no surprise to see them come out of the Western Conference.
