There are some sensational second-generation players making it through the ranks of high school basketball that promise to be future NBA players.

One of those players is Kiyan Anthony, who is a part of the high school class of 2025. Kiyan is making waves as a prospect and recently showed off his skills at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. At the camp, Anthony was seen trash-talking his opponents and declaring himself the best shooter on the court.

“I’m the best shooter in the gym, nobody can outshoot me.”

Anthony openly declared he wanted a highlight play in the clip, pulling off an impressive dunk to end it off after playing with a lot of swagger. Anthony is currently ranked in the 60s for his class, not indicating NBA-level play so far. But even Bronny James was ranked in the 40s before his senior year of high school, so there’s no telling how Kiyan can jump in the next two seasons.

Former NBA All-Stars Seeing Their Children Make It To The NBA

Carmelo is one of many former NBA all-stars who has a child trying to make the league. We’ve seen attempts by Zaire Wade, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Shareef O’Neal in recent seasons. The three of them are yet to find a home in the league, playing in the G League and on two-way NBA contracts in recent seasons.

Bronny James is likely to be up next, with LeBron James already making plans to eventually play with his son. He was projected to be the 17th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and is considered by some a lottery-level talent for his defensive pedigree.

The best player in the same high school class as Kiyan is Cameron Boozer, the son of former All-Star Carlos Boozer. Even Camden Boozer, Cameron’s twin brother, is currently ranked ahead of him. It’ll be interesting to see what Kiyan achieves, given the success of his peers with the same NBA heritage he comes from.
