Being the eldest son of LeBron James is not easy for Bronny James. There are already some huge expectations from Bronny, even though he is just 18 years old. Obviously, fans are already comparing him to his father.
While Bronny is an elite talent, he may never reach the level LeBron James reached in his career. For now, Bronny has cracked the top 10 of Jonathan Givony’s 2024 mock draft. Givony also provided a potential ceiling for Bronny in a recent video.

“Well, this is a very underwhelming high school class, one of the worst I have seen in the last 20 years. But Bronny James is improving at a rate I haven’t seen from any player in this class. I have been watching him since he was a freshman in high school and every time I see him, he’s a little bit bigger, a little bit stronger, a little bit more explosive, his shooting has improved, his ballhandling is getting better. He’s a tremendous teammate.”
Givony believes that Bronny has improved a lot since his freshman year, but it is still not enough for him to become an NBA All-Star in the league.
“We’re not talking about a guy who’s going to be an All-Star in my opinion like his father. You’re looking at a De’Anthony Melton, Marcus Smart, best case a Jrue Holiday-type player. A phenomenal role player, who impacts winning at the highest level.”
Bronny James has made huge strides so far and will continue to improve as he nears his NBA debut. Even after that, James is not expected to be an All-Star, as per Givony.
Whether that prediction turns out to be true or not, we will find out in a year or so. As of now, James is averaging 14.0 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 2.9 APG, and 1.8 SPG. Not bad for the 6’3″ Sierra Canyon point guard.
LeBron James Wants Bronny James To Play His Natural Game
In the past few years, LeBron James has been nothing but vocal about his plans to one day share the court with his son, Bronny James.
But that doesn’t mean James wants Bronny to play a certain style of basketball. He doesn’t want him to focus on scoring 30 points on a nightly basis.
Keeping that in mind, LeBron will be happy to just share the court with his son, regardless of the level of player that Bronny becomes once entering the league.
