Cam Thomas is a promising young guard that is currently on the Brooklyn Nets.  Thomas was well-known for his scoring and shot-creation ability coming out of college, and he has exhibited that recently when given a bigger role. Over the course of his last three games for the Brooklyn Nets, he is putting up 44.7 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 3.7 APG.

There is no doubt that Cam Thomas’ scoring has helped the Nets in recent memory, especially since they just traded point guard Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks. A recent statistic exemplified just how crazy Cam Thomas’ scoring has been, with him having more points in his last three games than former All-Star Ben Simmons has had in his last 21 games.

Points scored:

Points scored:

134 — Cam Thomas in his last 3 games

133 — Ben Simmons in his last 21 games

There is no doubt that this is an insane statistic, and hopefully, we see Cam Thomas continue to play well in the future. The better he plays, the better the Nets will do going forward, and we’ll see what happens with Cam Thomas for the rest of the season.

Ben Simmons Says He Need Some Time To Return To Being A Star

There is no doubt that Ben Simmons has been a disappointment for the Brooklyn Nets this season. Though his playmaking and rebounding are still solid, his aggressiveness on offense has waned, and his multi-positional defense is clearly worse than it was with the Philadelphia 76ers. Recently, Ben Simmons admitted that it will take some time for him to get back to being a star-level player.

“Back surgery is not a light thing so it takes time. Back surgery you’re affected everywhere. Your knees. So it’s just something I gotta stay on top of. I’ve been saying it from the start. There’s gonna be ups and downs. … I’m not gonna be the same player I was a few years ago. That’s gonna take time to get back.”

Hopefully, we will see Ben Simmons play better in the future. There are definitely times when stars struggle when coming off a serious injury, and Ben Simmons definitely needs to be given time to get well and be 100 percent.

The Brooklyn Nets do need the best version of Ben Simmons to get far in the playoffs, and we’ll see if his form improves in the coming weeks. A healthy Ben Simmons could still be an elite player, and there is no doubt that he is a game-changer when he is on.
