LeBron James is on the verge of making history once again in his career. The King has several accolades to his name and has made a compelling case for himself to be considered the greatest basketball player of all time. While many agree that James is the GOAT, there are a plethora of people who believe that James is still behind Michael Jordan.

But LeBron James is on the doorstep of shattering Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. Becoming the NBA’s all-time leader in points is no small feat, and it is certain that LeBron will become just that in the coming days.

The Los Angeles Lakers are all set to face off against the New Orleans Pelicans, and many fans believe that LeBron will end up scoring 65 points in the said game to break Kareem’s all-time scoring record.

Charles Barkley Doesn’t Want LeBron James To Break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Scoring Record Against The Pelicans

Former NBA superstar Charles Barkley has recently been in the headlines for his appearance on the ‘All The Smoke’ podcast. During the episode, Barkley revealed crucial details about his broken friendship with Michael Jordan.

But today, we are not focusing on Chuck’s comments about that. Instead, our focus is on what Barkley said when learning that LeBron James may score 65 points to break Kareem’s all-time scoring record against the Pelicans.

“If he gets to 63, I’m gonna fly to New Orleans and beat the hell out of him. He needs that record on TNT. It’s gonna be pretty cool for us to have that game. This record here is one of the greatest records in sports, and we’re gonna have it either Tuesday or Thursday on TNT.”

Considering Charles Barkley has been an employee of TNT for several years, he showed his loyalty to the company. That’s the simple reason why Barkley doesn’t want LeBron to become NBA’s all-time scoring leader against the Pelicans.
