NBA Fans React To Viral Picture Of LeBron James Looking Heartbroken After Celtics Loss

LeBron James was looking downright depressed with a towel over his head following the overtime loss to the Celtics, and fans had a lot to say about it.

From the beginning of the 2022-23 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have been written off as a bad team. The roster had glaring issues before the season even began and their terrible start to the year only cemented the idea that the Lakers were no threat again. LeBron James and his team have worked hard to flip that narrative, and while they are still low in the standings, have shown that they could still be a threat this season.

That’s why when they were on the verge of victory against the league-leading Boston Celtics, it would have been huge to seal the result. However, the officials messed up a foul call on LeBron James in the dying seconds of regulation, and the Lakers lost in overtime. For a team that needs every win to make it to the postseason, it was a crushing loss, and it left the King dejected on the sidelines.

LeBron James put up a monstrous 41-point game against the Celtics but poor officiating meant that it was all in vain. He spoke candidly after the loss, explaining that he doesn’t understand why he can’t get calls. And fans are completely on the King’s side in this situation, showing him their support on social media.

NBA Fans Felt Terrible For LeBron James After A Photo Of Him Looking Dejected Went Viral

When it had become evident that the Lakers would lose in overtime, the cameras were trained on LeBron James. But he couldn’t even show his face to the world, choosing to sit under a towel. And fans commiserated with him, many understanding the frustration that LeBron was feeling at that moment.

“Man this hurting me gahdamn.”

“Bron don’t deserve this bruh.”

“We’ll make some noise in the postseason. Hang in there squad.”

“Feels like they don’t have a lot of margin for error so close ones like these are gonna hurt more.”

“I feel this, they really robbed that man in plain sight.”

“Nah, how the NBA doing this to it’s biggest superstar man?”

“I don’t even like LeBron and this makes me sad.”

“Dude gotta start dropping 100 points a game lol.”

“I honestly feel awful for him how they constantly are getting screwed out of wins.”

“LeBron James deserves better.”

“This almost made me tear up, dawg.”

While this loss will sting in the days to come, the Lakers can feel positive knowing they should have beaten the best team in the NBA on Saturday. There have been many positive signs for them lately, and the team is still only 3 games behind the 4th seed in the Western Conference. LeBron James will have every opportunity to bounce back from this and enjoy the last laugh.
