Tari Eason’s Mom Says Draymond Green Is the Only Reason Warriors Have Rings

Tari Eason’s mom ignites firestorm, claiming Draymond Green is sole reason for Warriors’ rings.

Draymond Green has never been a stranger to controversy, but this time, it’s not another player or coach going at him; it’s a mother.

Teroya Eason, the outspoken mom of Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason, has grabbed headlines after boldly claiming that Draymond is the only reason the Golden State Warriors have championship rings. Her fiery defense of her son came in the wake of a heated first-round series between the Rockets and the Warriors that ended in a Game 7 loss for Houston.

While Warriors fans celebrated a return to the second round, Teroya Eason took to social media, clapping back at critics of her son and making her stance on Golden State’s dynasty clear. In one comment, she responded to a photo of Draymond flexing during Game 7 with a brutal truth bomb

“The only reason why you guys have rings. I keep saying it. Maybe now you’ll believe me. If you had My Son, you’d probably win another, but you definitely f***ing won’t. And you can take that shit to the bank.”

For her, Green is the linchpin of Golden State’s success, but also a player whose edge has been exaggerated without proper recognition of rising talents like Tari.

She doubled down by claiming Draymond is the only reason the Warriors have ever won championships. That’s a loaded statement considering the dynasty features Stephen Curry, a two-time MVP and widely regarded as the greatest shooter in NBA history.

But in Teroya’s eyes, it was Draymond’s defensive tenacity, leadership, and attitude that turned the Warriors from contenders into champions, and her son could be that missing piece if Golden State wants to win again.

This wasn’t a one-off jab. Teroya has been vocal throughout the playoffs, backing her son through thick and thin.

From clapping back at fans who mocked his Game 7 stat line to mocking the Warriors for blowing a 3-1 series lead in 2016, she’s been on a social media crusade. While some view it as out of bounds, others see it as a mother standing tall for her son in a league where criticism comes fast and personal.

Tari Eason had an up-and-down series, averaging 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds across seven games. Solid, but not star-making numbers. Yet Teroya’s confidence in his potential hasn’t wavered. She believes he could not only start for the Warriors right now, but also elevate them back to championship status.

Interestingly, Draymond Green himself once praised Eason, calling him a future version of himself, before things got personal during the series.

In an era where player families often remain in the background, Teroya Eason is flipping the script. Her take may not sit well with Warriors fans or media figures, but it reflects the unfiltered, emotional world surrounding today’s NBA.

Whether you agree or not, she made one thing crystal clear: if the Warriors want another ring, she believes it’s time to call Tari.
