While things may not be going well for the Lakers this season, it didn’t stop LeBron James from having a good time for his 38th birthday.

After pouring in a 47-point, 10-rebound performance against the Hawks on his big day, he went out this weekend to go celebrate with his friends and family.

Just a few hours ago, he posted about the special occasion on Instagram in a video that has since gone viral. Check it out:

Definitely was one of them NIGHTS!! Celebrated my Birthday the @Lobos1707 Way Godfather style with my pack! @lifewtr always stay hydrated and drink responsibly!

James was really partying this weekend, as photos of him drinking and dancing with Anthony Davis, his wife Savannah, and other party guests have already made their rounds online.

But even with as much fun as James is having off the court, there are a lot of reasons to be worried about what his Lakers can do this season.

Can LeBron James Win Another Title Before He Retires?

At 38 years old now, LeBron James is clearly in the final stages of his career. After two decades of dominating the NBA, calling his career anything other than a monumental success would be borderline disrespectful.

The question is, how long can he keep going at this pace?

As for James and his long-term future, he revealed that it’s not up to his body. Instead, how long he’ll stay in the league will depend on his mind and how much he wants to keep working night in and night out.

“I don’t have a number,” James said. “I know as long as my mind stays in it, I can play at this level for a minute. Now, that’s up to my mind. My body is going to be OK because if my mind is into it, I will make sure my body is taken care of and I’ll continue to put in the work.”

Only time will tell what the future has in store for LeBron and the Lakers, but the haters still have a long time to wait before James steps down from his throne.

While he may no longer be the NBA’s top performer, the fact that he’s still elite at almost 30 years old really says a lot about his amazing work ethic and longevity.
