In the No. 3 episode of the Fadeaway World Podcast, I bring on Kyle Daubs once again to talk about the trades and rumors that are happening. Here are some transcripts from our podcast regarding those rumors.

Note: quotes from the Fadeaway World Podcast were edited for clarity and ease of reading.

What Would The Lakers Have To Give Up For Bojan Bogdanovic? (4:21)

Bojan Bogdanovic

Bojan Bogdanovic is one of the hottest names on the trade market right now, and he has been targeted by a number of teams. In this segment, we talk about his potential fit with the Los Angeles Lakers and how much a team would have to give up for him.

Lee: We talk about the Lakers’ defense, and we talk about all this stuff installed by Darvin Ham. But at the end of the day, somebody else besides Anthony Davis and LeBron James has to get buckets. He’s a good trade option for the Lakers if they don’t give up too much… what you would give up if you were the Lakers?

Kyle: The Lakers would probably have to move Patrick Beverley and his $13 million, to match they could try to ship Lonnie Walker IV… It’s all going to come down to if the team wants to part with their first-round pick… the Lakers would get Bogdanovic would get for two years.

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers do end up trading for Bojan Bogdanovic in the future. He would certainly be a good fit with the team, and him as a No. 3 option on the team would make them much better offensively.

Should The Chicago Bulls Blow It Up? (10:46)

DeMar DeRozan

The Chicago Bulls were a solid playoff team last year, but the team has not looked close to as good this season. In this segment, we discuss whether the Chicago Bulls should blow things up and rebuild.

Lee: The Bulls this year have not been that good… After losing to the Knicks, they are 11th in the Eastern Conference, with an 11-16 record… I’m of the opinion that they should blow it up… I just don’t think they’re going to win much with DeRozan as the No. 1… There’s that rumored deal with the Lakers… I just want to hear your thoughts on the Bulls.

Kyle: I feel like the definition of insanity is repeating the same things and hoping for different results… They haven’t drafted well… Last year at one point the Bulls were the best team in the Eastern Conference… It’s so hard to believe that Lonzo Ball was the key to everything… You have DeMar DeRozan with his value at an all-time high right now… If Rudy Gobert can get four first-round picks if you count pick swaps… I think you have to take a long hard look in the mirror and say what can we get for him?

There is no doubt that the Chicago Bulls are currently in a tough position. We will see what they will end up doing in the future, and a full teardown could be good for the future of the franchise.
