Jordan Clarkson is one of the best sixth men in the league as of right now, well known for his ability to provide microwave scoring off the bench. This past season with the Utah Jazz, he averaged 16.0 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 2.5 APG.

This summer, Jordan Clarkson has been one of the players that have frequently been featured in trade rumors. In fact, it was recently revealed that Jordan Clarkson is one of the players targeted by the Los Angeles Lakers in their recent trade talks with the Utah Jazz.

In recent conversations with the Jazz, the Lakers have targeted Bogdanović, Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley, according to league sources.

There is no doubt that Jordan Clarkson would be a good addition to any contending team if he gets traded. However, there is obviously still the possibility that he ends up starting the season with the Utah Jazz.

Jordan Clarkson Is Prepared For Every Possibility

In a recent interview with Mike DeStefano of Complex, Jordan Clarkson was asked about his “outlook on the upcoming season”. Jordan Clarkson admitted that he’s “ready for whatever happens”, but noted that if he’s going to be a member of the Utah Jazz, he wants to win.

Sticking to basketball, there’s been a lot of stuff going on with the Jazz this offseason. The team lost Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Given all of the big shifts, what is your outlook on the upcoming season?

Honestly, we’ll see. I’m ready for whatever happens. I’ve been in the league for nine years now. I’m kind of a young vet in this. So, whatever direction management, owners, and the team are trying to go, I’m ready for it. If I’m in a different jersey in a week or tomorrow I get a phone call and I have to put on whatever jersey it is, I’m just trying to win and take whatever team it is to the next level to hopefully win a championship one day. That’s my outlook on it. If I’m here in Utah, I want to win. I want to strive for the playoffs, try to put a team together that could win something. It’s hard to go down from [where we were], bro. We’ve been winning for like three years straight. We had the best record in the league two years ago. This last year wasn’t the greatest, but we still finished top four in the West. We had another chance to win a championship and it all got squandered. It gets frustrating, but the sun comes out the next day and you’ve got to figure it out.

Hopefully, we see Jordan Clarkson end up on a contending team with a real chance of winning a championship. It is unlikely that the Jazz will be a contender, so that happening would likely come via trade.

As of right now though, Jordan Clarkson is likely preparing to start the season, no matter what team he may be on. He is clearly a professional committed to winning, and it’s likely that he’ll excel wherever he plays at the beginning of the season.
