LeBron James is the King, his ability to do everything on the basketball court at an elite level is what has put him in the GOAT conversation. His versatility is the stuff of legend, James can influence the game on both ends and play virtually any position on the court. And it’s not just limited to basketball, James is a versatile man in general. 

Everybody knows about James playing football in high school, his highlights from the time still go viral from time to time. James had good hands on the field, playing receiver and catching some passes. And his fans think that he can do a lot more as well, there was recently a post that asked if LeBron, with training, could take on Mike Tyson

That’s something that wouldn’t happen, Tyson is one of the GOATs of boxing for a reason. But considering LeBron’s work ethic and competitive spirit, if that was the sport he’d chosen, he certainly might have excelled at it. And while some fans will suggest that it is too much to say that James could have been a fighter, there’s someone with a fair amount of boxing experience that also thinks so. 


Canelo Alvarez Thinks LeBron James Could Have Been A Fighter

Canelo Alvarez is one of the most successful and celebrated boxers of the current era. The Mexican is ranked as the best middleweight boxer in the world, and he knows a thing or two about fighting and winning. And he recently had some positive stuff to say about LeBron James’ potential as a fighter. 

“Why not?” Alvarez responded when asked about James’s fight as a boxer. “I think he has skills for the sport. He’s an athlete, 100 percent. If he had dedicated himself to being a fighter, he could do it.”

James is an unbelievable athlete, and this is what invites most of these questions and comments. The way he moves despite being 6’9” is amazing, and he has every raw tool necessary to be an excellent boxer. 

Ultimately, LeBron made his decision to pursue basketball and NBA fans are grateful to him for it. James has lit up the NBA for 2 decades now and he remains the face of the league despite his advancing age. And with his legendary physical prowess barely looking diminished, that will probably carry on for a while.
