Dennis Schroder is well-known as a player who is a solid point guard capable of providing supplementary scoring, ballhandling, and perimeter defense. He has notably been performing well at the EuroBasket, averaging 21.6 PPG, 2.4 RPG, and 7.3 APG for the German national team. He dropped 30 points in his latest EuroBasket game against Spain, but unfortunately, Germany ended up losing the game.
Recently, it was revealed that Dennis Schroder has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year, $2.64 million deal. There is no doubt that Schroder is a good addition to the Los Angeles Lakers, and perhaps we will see him play at a high level and thrive offensively on the Lakers.

From a basketball perspective, it is easy to see why Dennis Schroder took this deal from the Los Angeles Lakers. He will get to play next to superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis and will likely get a good slate of minutes even if he comes off the bench as a sixth man.
Hopefully, we see Dennis Schroder have a good year with the Los Angeles Lakers and earn himself a long-term, lucrative contract. He is an experienced veteran point guard that is a great complementary player for any team and someone that rarely has mistakes in his decision-making. It is easy to see a scenario where he plays up his value this year with the Lakers and gets a new contract in next season’s free agency.
The Los Angeles Lakers have clearly focused on revamping their roster this offseason, finding solid veterans that can make contributions on both ends of the floor. This approach could definitely pay off for them. Dennis Schroder will be key for the Lakers next year, and perhaps we’ll end up seeing him help the team make the playoffs.
