NBA Fans Stunned That Clint Capela Has A Better Overall Rating In NBA 2K23 Than Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Ben Simmons, And Julius Randle: “This Must Be A Joke”

NBA 2K23 is finally available, and fans have been sinking their teeth into the latest edition of the annual game series. It started with fans discussing the ratings of stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis but has since become a lot more in-depth with the game being fully released for anyone who wants to buy it.

Clint Capela has been a serviceable center in the NBA for years and has always thrived with amazing point guards next to him. He came into the league and was fed the ball under the basket by James Harden and Chris Paul before being traded to Atlanta to become Trae Young’s pick-and-roll partner. His 2K rating has created a lot of conversation for being a little too high.

Capela has been good for Atlanta but has not done anything to signify he is one of the top players in the league. Despite that, Capela has been given an overall rating of 84. This places him higher than former All-Stars Draymond Green, Ben Simmons, Klay Thompson, and Julius Randle, something NBA fans are not happy about.

Clint Capela has a better overall rating in NBA2K23 than Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Ben Simmons, D'Angelo Russell, John Collins and Julius Randle.

Are NBA 2K23 Ratings An Accurate Representation Of Players In Real-Life?

As it is with every sports video game, the ratings for players will never be accurate to the nose. Some players will be given stats to boost their overall number or to just focus on specific stats. However, this is very inconsistent from the way 2K does everyone’s ratings.

Capela is higher than players that many would consider better than him. Another issue came up with Gary Payton II and Herbert Jones, who specializes in being elite perimeter defenders. However, they have a 79 rating for that attribute, tied with the likes of Ja Morant. Morant is one of the best players in the game but is not nearly the defender that GPII or Herb Jones proved they are over the last season.

To determine who the best players in the world are, it is best to use one’s eyes and watch the games to make that decision for oneself. After all, depending on ratings from a video game might not be the best way to decide which basketball player is better than the other.
