The NBA is a league filled with a plethora of talented players. Given that there are so many talented players in the league, standing out among the rest is a very tough task. But some players certainly establish themselves as the superstars of the league.

Each decade the superstars of the league change. With time taking a toll on older stars and other players developing their games, the superstar cycle is never-ending. Some individuals, though, certainly stand out for a particular decade. Perhaps one of the most stacked decades till now in the NBA is that of the 2000s.

From the likes of LeBron James to even Tim Duncan, the 2000s saw some of the most versatile players the league has ever seen. While deciding who the best player from the 2000s might sound tough, putting up a starting 5 was tougher.

Regardless, 2K20 managed to put perhaps the most convincing starting 5 of the 2000s decade. With an incredibly talented guard like Allen Iverson starting as a point guard, Kobe Bryant starting as the shooting guard, LeBron James starting off as the small forward, Tim Duncan starting as the power forward, and a prime Shaquille O’Neal starting as the center, this was perhaps the quintessential starting 5 of the 2000s.

Recently, many fans reacted to the starting 5 and tweeted the starting 5 of their own who would beat this team. While many claimed that an 80s team featuring the likes of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson would do the trick, others had some differing opinions.

The teams up for competition against the 2000s team are certainly commendable and some of them might even beat this incredibly stacked roster. A side with Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and Hakeem Olajuwon will matchup pretty well with the 2000s team.

While it is certainly impossible to determine which team would win, the fact that these players complement each so well is astonishing. Who do you think would beat the 2000s team?
