If there’s one thing you should know about Kevin Durant, it’s that he doesn’t back down from anybody. He’s going to live his life on his terms, and he doesn’t really care who may have a problem with the choices he makes.
That sentiment was put on full display on Twitter this week when one fan offered to help Durant fix his public image and re-mold the narrative surrounding his career.
“So I majored in PR we gotta clean up these media narratives that were never in your character. We gotta shine more light on your philanthropy. Ima double back and restructure the fashion sense then I gotta get you a luxury dog for stress release in general. Email for my resume?”
It was a nice pitch from the Twitter user, but KD wasn’t having it. In a quick, four-word response, he shut down any ideas the kid may have had of working for the 2x champion.

Durant doesn’t need help because he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong. On the outside, fans may view Durant as an out-of-control diva who can’t handle criticism from fans.
But Durant sees it as his right to respond to the critics, and he has already explained that he actually enjoys talking with the fans.
“I enjoy engaging with the fans,” he said. “I used to take it personal. I used to think that people were trying to personally attack me through my social media. But I realize these people don’t know me at all and a lot of people are excited to have that interaction and just wanna somehow get some attention some way. But after a decade-plus of social media being around our game, it’s integrated in our sport and in our life now and there’s no hiding from it, so I just try to adapt.”
On the court, Durant’s skill set is undeniable. He’s one of the best at what he does.
Unfortunately, all of his antics behind the scenes and behind the screen have made him the enemy of countless fans, analysts, and experts. But no matter what gets thrown his way, Durant’s response is always the same, and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
