There Is No Active Player That Has Played Against The Sacramento Kings In The Playoffs

The Sacramento Kings have had no luck getting to the playoffs in recent memory. They notably own the league’s longest streak of missing the playoffs, 16 years and counting. There is no doubt that this is unfortunate for the fans of the franchise.

A recent fact posted by the Twitter page Hoop Central illustrates just how long the Sacramento Kings have been missing the playoffs. There is no active player that has played against the Kings in the playoffs, which is absolutely crazy to think about.

This is wild. 😳

The Sacramento Kings did end up making a win-now trade last season, acquiring All-Star big man Domantas Sabonis in a trade with the Indiana Pacers. They still have De’Aaron Fox on the roster as well, and head coach Mike Brown has recently claimed that the two are a “top-three combination in the league” currently.

“Obviously, as a tandem in the pick-and-roll, they are very, very good. Probably a top-two or top-three combination in the league right now, so that’s a gift. With Fox’s speed and Sabonis’s ability to pass, it just gives you different ways to play the game of basketball. I am a firm believer in paint touches and you get paint touches in a lot of ways, you put Sabonis in the post, and he facilitates from there. Anytime you get a paint touch, you collapse the defense and can facilitate from there. You can also spread the floor out, tell Fox to get in that paint, finish and/or distribute. I am excited about those two guys doing a lot of different things offensively.”

Hopefully, we see Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox lead the Sacramento Kings to the playoffs in the near future. The fans absolutely deserve to see a competitive team rather than one that is consistently rebuilding.

The Western Conference will certainly be tougher next season, with stars like Zion Williamson and Kawhi Leonard returning from injury. The Sacramento Kings face an uphill climb to get to the postseason, but perhaps they can end up making it via the play-in tournament.
